An Awe-Filled August Wedding

The day finally came!! I knew from the day I took Evelyn and Mattaniah’s engagement photos at the Oak Forest in Harcourt that this wedding day was going to be awesome! The potential rain was looming over their wedding as we frantically checked the forecast each day, but God provided us with an amazing day, and even a brief bit of sunshine!

Evelyn and Matt decided to utilise our Mini Wedding Experience package, which meant that I got to start at the ceremony. This is different for me, as I find I’m usually spending the whole day with the couple! But, I had all morning to ponder and eagerly wait to take these photos. And I tell you what, it was worth it! Guests arrived as the final touches were being made to the church (amazing florals by the way!) and we all eagerly awaited Evelyn’s arrival. Once she got there, it was time! The ceremony was perfect! Everyone did their part and we were able to witness the beginning of a new family! After some quick family photos, it was time for portraits!

We only had a limited time for portraits, but we weren’t going to let that stop us! The entire time we were hoping that the sun would peek through those looming clouds, and then, it happened! We had about 10 minutes were we got some sun, and oh boy did we make sure to use it!! Quite literally, I said to the bridesmaids “SORRY GUYS! WE’LL BE BACK! EV! MATT! LET’S GOOOOO!” I think these ended up being my favourite portraits of the whole day!! We were definitely hoping for a nice sunset, although the clouds told us no. But hey, that sun just made us SO happy, even if it only lasted a small amount of time!

Once our portraits were complete, we headed over to a family friend’s house who had set up this amazing outdoor marquee! My coverage time was running out before I was to become a guest, so we quickly snapped a few pictures and enjoyed our night! Overall, it was an amazing day, and I’m SO glad that was able to capture it for Matt and Evelyn! I wish them both all the best in their life together! That’s it from me! Enjoy the photos!!
