A Garden Engagement in Ballarat, VIC

Saturday was a day to remember! I knew that I wanted to take photos at the Ballarat Botanical Gardens when I first drove past there, and Kahli and Josh were the perfect couple to start with! When I approached Kahli with the suggestion, she instantly said ‘yes’ and it turns out that it was where they had one of their first ‘dates’! Things couldn’t have worked out better!

Kahli initially reached out to me from Hamilton asking if I was available for their wedding in April. And Josh, well you might recognise him from Jordan and Crystal’s wedding back in 2022 (feel free to check out their engagement session and wedding blog!). You're telling me that I have another opportunity to spend time with these families and their closest friends? Well to that I say “ABSOLUTELY!”

I arrived at the gardens and the day was A-MAZ-ING, especially for Ballarat weather. Straight away, I knew that Kahli and Josh were perfect for each other! Their energy, laughs, personalities, everything about them is meant to be. When I witnessed all of these things, I thought to myself “Oh, this is gonna be good!” and I was right! We had a quick walk around the garden and got straight to having an absolute blast!

Kahli initially told me that she was unsure of having her photos taken, but both of them absolutely crushed it. In fact, they did so well that I simply can’t wait for their wedding. It’s going to be SO easy! But overall, this is the purpose of an engagement session. To remove those nerves prior to your wedding day so that you can 1) Know that you can have amazing photos taken of yourself and 2) Just enjoy your wedding day with your closest family and friends.

Kahli and Josh, thank you so much for choosing me. I’ve loved our time together so far and absolutely cannot wait for April! But for now, please enjoy some of my favourites from Saturday!
