A Wonderful Winter’s Day

It was a cloudy morning as we arose for the wedding of Isaac and Sara. All throughout the week we had been keeping a close eye on the forecast, but each day turned out to be bright and sunny! Would this day have the same result?! Well we got a good mixture on this lovely winter’s day in Bendigo. The clouds were overhead, the sun was peeking through and thankfully the rain held off each time it we went out for photos!

I personally have known Isaac for around 7-8 months, but only had the pleasure of meeting Sara a few months ago! Their family lives far away, but each week Issac and his brother would make the long trip to our local church. Over time I got to know Isaac more and more and suddenly I was going to be his wedding photographer! Isaac and Sara knew they wanted to get married, so within a few months Isaac had proposed and now I’m writing this blog post! Their day was full of joy and excitement as each part unfolded. There were tears, laughter and happiness everywhere from the beginning of the day until the end.

The day started off with the boys meeting me nice and early. We tied the ties, we put on the jackets, we had our laughs and then it was off for the girls. When I arrived my wife was hard at work on the hair and each of the girls were excited! They rented a gorgeous house locally here in Bendigo which was such a pleasure to take photos in! We re-modelled and moved all the couches, tables and chairs to create the perfect space. It wasn’t long afterwards that we were on our way to the church.

Once we arrived at the church, people were eagerly awaiting the arrival of the bride. The guys were ready, and nervous too! But once the time finally came, there was no doubt that everyone was ready. Isaac and Sara wanted to do something special for their day. So, as Sara arrived, she waited at the end of the aisle and Isaac came to meet her. That’s when the tears really started to flow in the guests and the family! The ceremony was lovely, people sang with all of their hearts and finally the new Mr. and Mrs. Schreuder were announced!

Despite being unsure about the weather, this day turned out to be amazing and we are so glad that Isaac and Sara trusted us to capture their special day! We wish them all the best for their new lives together!
