Laura + Ron Wedding
An Elegant Autumn Wedding
It was a chilly but sunny morning as we began our 3 hour drive to Moe, Victoria. We somehow dodged morning Melbourne traffic on our way to this amazing wedding. I have known Laura for many years through different church camps and events, so when she asked me to photograph her wedding I couldn’t say no. I had never met Ron before, but I knew he was a man who loved both God and Laura. As we arrived, everyone was excited. The day had finally come, and WE got to be there to capture it!
I wasn’t expecting anyone to be there when I arrived to shoot details, but to my surprise all of the bridesmaids and Laura had arrived early from their hair and make up. Could this be a sign? Our day was already going to be a quick one. Would everything just work perfectly and stick to the timeline?? (YES!) The morning started with us hanging sheets and covering up freshly-plastered walls in order to take some amazing portraits, and we couldn’t have been happier with the results! We edged closer and closer to the ceremony time when Ron and Laura would finally be pronounced husband and wife. The excitement (and the nerves) were real!
We arrived at the church in Moe, Victoria where I got to meet Ron officially for the first time. He was lovely and friendly just as I’d heard, and the groomsmen were crazy and energetic. I knew straight away that this was going to be an easy and enjoyable day. Portraits were finished, and then came the ceremony. As Laura arrived, the emotions were high and everyone looked on in awe (especially Ron). It was a perfect ceremony full of laughs, tears of joy and proud faces all around. They said their vows, exchanged rings and were pronounced husband and wife!
It only got better as the day went on. We headed to the Moe Botanical Gardens for some portraits and OH MY! The glow we were looking for was there, but only for a while! We rushed through bridal party portraits and smashed those bride and groom portraits too! Due to living far away, Laura and Ron weren’t able to do an engagement session with us. However, you couldn’t tell. They were absolute naturals!
Please enjoy each moment of this day as you scroll through the images. Congratulations Laura and Ron on your wedding, and thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to capture it for you! We wish you all the best in your new life together!!
Laura bought this Bible more than 10 years ago so she could give it to her future husband. How sweet!
We had about 40 minutes for all of our portraits until the sun disappeared, and oh my! This bridal party was so fun and easy to work with! I LOVED these!
This glow though!
Laura has a love for swings, so OF COURSE we took some portraits on the swings!
