An Intimate Backyard Wedding

What a day! Matt and Georgie decided to get married on their property in Shelbourne, and it was absolutely amazing. I had received a call from Georgie about a week prior where she explained their plan and asked if I could capture their special day. Of course I had to say yes!! Georgie and Matt wanted to keep their celebration small, which was perfect for their gorgeous property. A small selection of family were able to attend and I don’t think it could have been any more perfect!

Georgie’s sister is none other than the lovely Susie the Celebrant who I have had the pleasure of working with in the past. So of course the day went perfectly! I arrived at the property in the late afternoon and saw a simple and elegant ceremony that was ready to go. The sun was out, everyone was ready and the wedding began. Even though there were not many people, you could still feel the love and emotion that was present on the day, and I got to be a part of it!!

The beautiful thing about having a ceremony at your own property, is that you have complete freedom to do whatever you want! Straight after the ceremony we ventured out to the family dam where the sunlight was A-MAZ-ING!! Seriously, I couldn’t have asked for nicer lighting, plus Matt and Georgie made it so easy! Don’t they look fantastic! We were able to finish our evening by taking some portraits with Matt’s Mustang. How cool is this car?! I can tell why he wanted pictures with it, because they quickly became some of my favourites!
